trying to make a difference through my words.

must read book: Popped by Chinggay Labrador

*image used is not mine, got it on Google.

After 872973216 years, lol! I finally finished the book! :D I'm not saying that it's not a good book because I kept on slacking, school is hell these past few weeks and Twitter is my twin, and my twin says "tweet. don't read!" lol. XD

Anyway, here's the synopsis or the K-Pop Fan Girl Essentials. haha! :DD (written at the back of the book)
  • Stack of Korean drama DVDs to chase heartbreak away
  • Pick me up playlist of K-Pop songs to dance to in the shower
  • Shots of soju in times of celebration (or depression!)
  • Korean hangout (A must: yummy bibimbap)
  • Office BFF who fervently believes she is destined for the lead singer of the hottest K-Hip-Hop band in Asia
  • Ticket to watch the biggest K-Pop concert to ever hit Japan
  • Fellow K-Pop fan girls who become your closest friends (since they're the only ones who understand your obsession)
  • Tons of cute Korean keychains and stationery
  • The hot boy you met in Korea who looks just like you K-Pop crush
  • Your very own kilig happy ending to rival any K-drama
When Andi immerses herself in the crazy, colorful world of K-Pop, she never imagined it would change her
life forever and lead her to finding the boy of her dreams.

My Review:

If you're into any fandom, especially the K-Pop fandom, then this book is a must read! This has all the fangirl fantasies ever! Concerts, stalking, drama, travelling and meeting the boys in person! What more can a fangirl ask for right? :) Explore the K-Pop world with Andie, Trixie, Cesca and Nica! :D

Anyway, at first I can somewhat relate to the story, like that scene happened to me too blah blah blah, I actually was even close to Google-ing if Movement (group in the story) really exists! HAHA! But as you go by, you'll realize that it's all just a fantasy. I mean, okay, I know it's a fiction book but come on! Being a fangirl, stalking your idols, going out of the country and watching concerts can really happen in real life, why go waaayyyyy beyond that? lol. I have nothing against the book, it's a good read, all I'm saying is that those events (those written in the book) can only happen if 1.) You have tons of money. 2.) You're soooooooo beautiful. 3.) You know someone from the agency. 4.) The K-Pop fairy loves you so much and 5.) You're the luckiest girl in the planet. It'd be an even better book if events, scenarios and other stuff written there are based on true stuff or can really happen in real life. I'm a K-Pop fan myself so I know the struggles one has to go through just to attend meet and greets, concerts, fansigning, etc. And isn't it hard to get a Japanese visa?? Hmmm. Okay, maybe it's just me and my fangirl side but as a fangirl, that's what I felt while reading the book. For non-KPop fans I guess it'll be another one of those romance-fanstasy-books you've read. :P I hope you guys got my point. ;)

I'm bad at giving reviews and I don't want to spill any spoilers so that's all I can say. :) Despite those things that I've said, give it a shot! Maybe you'll find it way better than I did. :) We have different opinions right?? :)

Where do I buy the book?
- I got mine as a birthday present, but I'm sure it's available in bookstores like Powerbooks, Fully Booked or maybe even National Bookstore. :)

How much is it?
- At the back of the book it says it's 175php. :)

Language used?
- English. But they did use some Filipino words and also some Korean. :)

Nevertheless, it's still a must-read for me. :)

Hi! This is kind of off topic but I need some advice from an established blog.
Is it very hard to set up your own blog? I'm not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty fast. I'm
thinking about setting up my own but I'm not sure where to start. Do you have any ideas or suggestions? With thanks
